Bio

Tha Goodfellaz is a hip hop syndicate formed in San Diego, CA during early 2005. Tha Goodfellaz members include Novacaine, Guttamouth, and Coop de Ville. Its members each hail from different regions of the country. Novacaine, of Houston, TX, holds down the South with an raspy, deep delivery but an interestingly written style of street storytelling.Guttamouth of Gary, IN represents the midwest with a quickwit, rapdfire punchline style of rap and an introspective street poet type of flow. Coop de Ville hails from upstate NY. He represents the east coast. His smooth and intelligent delivery is reminder of an early Nas. The musical influences of Tupac,Nas, Talib Kweli, Notorius B.I.G., Scarface, Jay-Z, Swisha House, and Cash Money are apparent in their raps. Their 3 different styles blend well to make quality rap music for the true hip hop fan. The groups name comes from the classic mob movie Goodfellas; Henry Hill explains it all with this quote: “You know, we always called each other Goodfellas. Like you said to, somebody, :You're gonna like this guy. He's all right. He's a Goodfella. He's one of us.: You understand? We were Goodfellas. Wiseguys.... See it’s the highest honor they can give you. It means you belong to a family and crew. It means that nobody can f - k around with you. It also means you could f - k around with anybody just as long as they aren't also a member. It's like a license to steal. It's a license to do anything.”
